Giving Back

We feel truly blessed for what we’ve been given in our lives and so we try to find opportunities wherever we can to ease the burdens of others. And while Tampa dentist Dr. Bynum has travelled to Central America many times to provide free dental care for those in need, he realized a few years ago that that same assistance could be used locally as well. “One does not need to travel to a Third World country these days to find people that are suffering,&sdquo; said Dr. Bynum.

That’s why, a few years ago, he and his team at Five Star Dental Care began hosting an annual Day of Giving, a chance to help others in our community. Each year, we open up our dental office to provide free dental services for anyone without insurance or enough money to pay for treatments for an entire day. As we’ve opened up our hearts, we’re grateful to have been joined by other local businesses, donating dental supplies, food, drinks, and music for those waiting to be helped.

• “Free dental care offered Saturday”, Brandon News & Tribune, September 21, 2010 – This year for the Day of Giving, in addition to the dental care for local residents, we also had a veterinarian conducting health screenings and giving rabies shots to pets whose owners cannot otherwise afford the care.
